Royal Family KIDS Camp is a five-day, four-night camp designed to recognize the specific needs of children ages 7-11, who have suffered family-induced trauma, abuse, neglect, and abandonment.
We need volunteers ages 16+ to serve in many different roles at camp. After the application is completed, an interview is set up. Once accepted as a volunteer, you will be required to attend our mandatory training sessions held prior to camp.
Counselors
This role is so vital that camp couldn’t happen without these positions filled. The people that fill this role are responsible for 2 campers the entire week. There is a mandatory break period daily in our camp as we know how hard this position is.
Counselor-in-Training
This role is reserved for minors ages 16-17. They support camp staff volunteers while engaging with the campers.
Support Staff
There are many roles in the support staff at camp. Whether you are a dean of men or women, activities staff, or even the drama team, every role is vital in supporting the counselors and campers as well as the director.
Memory Keepers
This role has multiple spots and is about making positive memories for the campers through photographs. Each day you will take pictures of the campers enjoying their time at camp and at the end of the week, you will give them a photo album most cherish the rest of their lives!
Special Events
This is a part-time volunteer position to help with the different events that take place at camp like the Boys’ Bash, Girls’ Gala, or our awesome Birthday Party!
Fundraising
Camp runs at no cost to the campers or their caregivers. We are always needing volunteers to help at fundraising events year-round, some shifts are just one hour or some are up to four hours.
